Daniel Ayllón of the Faculty of Biology, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, continues to publish research using his version of our inSTREAM trout model, customized to include genetic evolution. See the Publications page for examples.

Dr. Mahboobeh Hajiesmaeli recently earned her PhD from the Water Structures Engineering Department, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, after collaborating with us to apply inSTREAM to trout populations in the Elarm River of Iran. Her thesis is Modification of inSTREAM model using bioenergetics approach for habitat suitability simulation in rivers (Case study: Brown Trout in Elarm river, Lar National Park).

At Karlstad University in Sweden, Kristine Lund Bjørnås is working with Prof. John Piccolo to complete an application of inSTREAM to hydropower management issues on the Gullspång River, modeling some of the largest landlocked anadromous brown trout and Atlantic salmon in Europe.
